Your trainer will write a program specifically for you and your goals, and then the program is put into an app on your phone for you to follow each week. The app has detailed instructions on how to do each exercise, including written and form videos and the prescribed rep range and rest.
You’ll have to choose how much weight to add in each session and make sure your form is correct; for this reason, it's most suited to people with some gym experience. You’ll also have a weekly phone check-in with your trainer to ask any questions and discuss your progress.
Some key benefits of Online Coaching:
It’s more effective than working out on your own (you’ll get better results)
The program is built specifically for your goals by a professional
It’s more accessible financially than face to face Personal Training
There is less risk of injury than training on your own because it provides instruction on the correct form
It’ll push you to lift heavier so that you get the most out of every session at the gym and smash your goals
You can ask questions and get help
You’ll learn new skills and training techniques
It’s a commitment to yourself and an investment in achieving your goals
Another key benefit is that unlike just showing up to the gym and working out at random, signing up for a program with a professional is a commitment to yourself and your goals. It also gives you the support you need to stay motivated and accountable. Support networks have been found to be critical to achieving your goals.
